Here's everything you need to know:
Annual Subcription (Valid for 12 Months)
The annual subscription for The Social Book Club is 3,500 KES, paid once every 12 months.
The annual subscription expires 12 months after you've registered. For instance, if you register in July 2026, your annual subscription will be due for renewal in July 2027.
What Happens After You Register?
Once your payment is confirmed, we’ll email you a registration form to complete your details.
Two weeks or three weeks after registration, we’ll deliver your first book (a hard copy) to the address you provided. All our books are original copies, as we strictly oppose piracy.
Your Book Club Journey
After reading your first book, you’ll attend your first meet-up.
Here, you’ll be introduced to your fellow book club members, based on your registration details.
During the meet-up, you’ll discuss the book, have conversations as you get to know each other and then receive a new book to read until the next event.
After the meet-up, we'll give you another hard copy book to take home and read for the next month.
Book Club Meet-Up
We meet-up on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Once you register, you will choose which day you would like to attend -- Saturday or Sunday.
The meet-up cost is 1,500 KES and it's inclusive of lunch and a new book to take home and read for the next month. .
Which Books Are We Reading?
70% of the books we'll be discussing at the book club are African Literature books.
30% of the books are International best-seller novels.
Monthly Meet-Up Cost
The monthly meet-up cost is 1,500 KES, which includes:
Food (A full meal)
A new hard copy book.
